Exploring new hunting areas is an important part of MapleStory Classic World Mesos progression, and the Excavation Site gives players another destination beyond the familiar forests and mountain paths of Victoria Island. Added during the October 21 Grand Launch, this Perion region introduces several monster types, multiple connected maps, and a small camp where players can find NPCs and a Bulletin Board. Its layout offers more than one hunting location, making it worth understanding how the different sections connect before choosing a regular training route.
The entrance to the Excavation Site can be found through Rocky Road III. From there, players enter the first digging grounds and gradually move deeper into the area. The route leads through three Excavation Site maps before reaching the camp, which serves as a central point for the surrounding ruins. Beyond the camp, the landscape continues into the Remains, a group of tomb maps, additional camps, and a cliff area. This gives the region a more connected structure than a single hunting map with no further destination.
The first sections introduce Ghost Stumps, Wooden Masks, and Rocky Masks. Ghost Stumps appear in Excavation Site I and II, while Wooden Masks can be found across all three digging grounds. Rocky Masks occupy the deeper sections, appearing in Excavation Site II and III. These different monster placements give each map its own character and make it useful to explore the full route rather than remaining at the entrance.
The Remains section introduces another group of enemies. Skeledogs and Mummydogs inhabit the early tomb maps, while Skeleton Soldiers appear in several of the later camps and tomb areas. Officer Skeletons can be found deeper in the ruins, including the cliff, and Commander Skeletons occupy the more advanced sections. The progression from the digging grounds into the tombs creates a clear change in the enemy lineup as players move farther from the entrance.
Monster levels also help explain how the area is structured. Ghost Stumps are level 19, Wooden Masks are level 23, and Rocky Masks are level 24. Deeper into the Remains, Skeledogs are level 44 and Mummydogs are level 47. Skeleton Soldiers are level 57, Officer Skeletons are level 63, and Commander Skeletons are level 73. The wide range makes it important to choose a section that matches the character's current combat ability rather than treating the entire region as one uniform training destination.
The camp is another useful part of the layout. Shuang and Shawn are located there alongside a Bulletin Board, giving players a place to stop between trips into the surrounding maps. Since the camp itself does not contain monsters, it also provides a natural break from combat. Players can use the opportunity to review their inventory, check available interactions, and decide whether to continue deeper into the ruins or return to Perion.
The region also introduces several materials and monster-related items. Seedlings and Wooden Boards are among the new materials, and five of either can be processed into Processed Wood through Woodcrafting. This creates a connection between hunting and professions, giving some drops a purpose beyond ordinary selling. Other items found in the area include Slate, Skeledog's Bone, Dirty Bandage, Rib, Pelvic Bone, and Horse Skull. Their usefulness depends on the recipes and activities available to the character, so checking item descriptions before discarding unfamiliar drops is worthwhile.
Choosing a hunting location inside the Excavation Site should depend on both monster strength and the character's job. A level 23 character may find the first digging grounds more appropriate than the deeper tombs, while a stronger character can consider moving farther into the Remains. Attack range, movement speed, Accuracy, and potion consumption all influence how efficiently a map can be used. A location with stronger enemies is not automatically better if defeating them takes too long or requires frequent trips back to town.
The Excavation Site also gives Perion a more substantial role in the current game world. Its connected maps, varied monster groups, and profession materials make it relevant to both combat progression and resource collection. Players who explore it gradually can identify which sections fit their characters and which materials deserve a place in their inventories. When preparing for longer hunting sessions or considering equipment upgrades, MSCW Mesos for sale may also be part of the resource planning process. Online resources can serve many different purposes, depending on what people need at a particular moment. Having a suitable destination makes it easier to access the information or products being considered. U4GM features merchandise associated with a variety of games and remains part of the wider gaming-related marketplace. |
